How Do I Get Bronx County Criminal Records?

What are Bronx County Vital Records?

Where and How to Get Bronx County Marriage Records?

The City Clerk of New York holds marriage records from 1950 to date, for the five counties in New York City, including Bronx County. Anybody can request a marriage record that is older than fifty years. However, only the spouses, individuals with one of the spouses’ written permission or legal permission, may request marriage records younger than fifty years.

Eligible requesters must complete an application form, attach proof of eligibility, and the requisite fee. The fee for marriage certificates is $15 for the first certified copy and $10 for each additional copy. Second-year searches cost an added $1, and searches for subsequent years cost 50 cents.

Where and How to Get Bronx County Birth Records?

The NYC Health Department provides birth certificates for individuals born in Bronx County. To obtain a Bronx County birth certificate, eligible individuals can apply online. Requesters can also complete, sign, and notarize a birth certificate application form, attach a copy of valid ID and a money order or check for $15 - payable to the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Where and How to Get Bronx County Death Records?

The NYC Health Department provides death certificates for individuals who die in Bronx County. In NYC, death certificates come in two parts:

  • The standard death certificate
  • The confidential medical report that tells the cause of death

Both certificates cost the same thing. However, the only persons permitted to request both the death certificate and the confidential medical cause report are:

  • Spouse
  • Domestic partner
  • Parent
  • Child
  • Sibling
  • Grandparent
  • Grandchild
  • Informant listed on the certificate
  • The individual in control of disposition

The following relatives are allowed to request a death certificate alone:

Eligible requesters can obtain Bronx County death certificates through the approved online party for $15 per certificate, plus a $8.30 processing fee. Record seekers may either opt to use these tools to search for a specific record or multiple records. Users are able to search third-party websites remotely for multiple records at a time with just the name of the record subject and their last known location, including the city, county, or state. Third-party sites are not sponsored by government agencies. Because of this, record availability and results may vary.
